Art is how I make an intimate connection with the earth. My process is to have a general plan for a piece before making it but to be open to changes as each piece evolves. My goal is to reveal the beauty of my material. I allow each specific piece to try to choose its own form. I enjoy working in more than one medium to help keep my perspective fresh.

Whether working in wood clay or metal I’m always conscious of how the material I use is collected processed and finished to make sure that my impact on the earth is as minimal as possible.
